Driving towards home today I saw a Egret poised on a post in the creek. I quickly parked and walked back across the bridge only to get a less than focused shot of it as it flew off. Discouraged, I walked back to my vehicle glancing in the grasses on the creek edge. At first I thought it was a tree stump but then saw the neck and head.
