Sans Tomato

I rescued this little guy from the skimmer this morning and placed him in my garden pool. As I looked at him I thought, " I should take his picture." Dashed inside for the camera, waited for the condensation from the humidity to dissipate from the lens, lined up a shot or two, and still he held the same position. "Oh no. Was I too late to save him after all?" I gave him a little prod and he dove for cover. Yay! Another one saved.

I love to hear him ribbit at night dad♥
Cute little toadie! :)

Is he able to get out onto dry land? Toads don't live in water like frogs do. :)

@cfrantz once again I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Thanks so much
@linnypinny Thanks Lin. He was very cooperative!
@bill_fe Thanks Bill. That is where the debris from the surface of the pool collects. It ends up being like a whirlpool for little critters, snakes and bugs if they fall into the pool
. @tunia thanks you Tunia. He just stayed that way for a very long time so it was quite easy.

@juliedduncan do they mate in water? I find lots of eggs in the pool
July 12th, 2016
@grammyn Hmmmmm, I don't think so. Those are probably frog's eggs you're seeing.

http://animals.mom.me/differences-between-frog-eggs-toad-eggs-6513.html I was wrong! Toads do lay their eggs in water. Well, huh! You learn something new every day! ;)
