It is that time of year again. As I emptied the skimmer of our pool this morning this gooey mass on the lower half of this photo plopped out onto the skimmer cover. It took me a second to realize it is toad eggs. I have seen them before in the skimmer but never so many at one time. I decided it would make a great half and half against the concrete of the pool deck. What do you think?
Yikes- can you imagine what your pool would have looked like if they'd all hatched?! It's a little "ewwwy" looking but it does make a nice textural half and half shot.
@bill_fe LOL! They wouldn't be very filling! thanks Bill @linnypinny LOL and thanks @tunia They are actually in strings but get all clumped together sometimes like this. @nicolecampbell Thanks I definitely don't want that many. That is why I took them out. @summerfield I already have the symphony with the half a dozen that helped create this mess. Thanks bunches @olivetreeann LOL! i can't there would surely be hundreds of thim if they all hatched. I knew you would appreciate the textures involved thanks Ann @onewing Thanks Babs. I just found them so interesting and wanted to find a way to present them for this challenge. @dawnee I think this is the most I have ever found at one time in the pool Thanks Dawnee @henrir I appreciate that Henri. thank you so much @bkbinthecity glad you like it Thanks for taking the time to view and comment
Toad eggs??? I would NEVER have guessed! Whatever next?!! Well done on grabbing this photo op - and a good half and half it turned into too! :) I hope to be back "properly" soon...
@kwiksilver They really don't look like this when they are in water and it is a little bit easier to figure them out then. Thanks bunches and looking forward to your return
