It is getting to be a bit of a struggle to find unique half and half photos but I like the challenge.
I apologize for not thanking you for your comments on my recent pictures. I hope to get to it soon. Please know that I have read each and every one and am so grateful to you all.

I just posted my daily photo and was thinking the same thing! But I really like this challenge, too (even though I just realized we are only half way through the half and half month!)
What I like about this shot is the contrast between the thick tire and the see-through fence. I don't think they all have to be of "TIME" magazine quality- I'm pretty sure mine aren't!!
As for the half-way through half and half- I'd take a shot of the calendar day and slice the number through the middle, posting only the bottom half of the number. At least that's what I'd do had I not already taken a different picture today and thought of this on my own beforehand!
Love the golden sunlight on the tire! And @linnypinny@grammyn@olivetreeann Lin's comment about being 1/2 way through the month, Katy's reply and Ann's brainstorming on how to portray that is priceless. Before I even got as far as reading Ann's idea I took a screen shot of the calendar month with the two I had just posted on the 15th and 16th and moved the one on the 16th over to the 18th to make room for the screen shot. Ha ha ha. I am loving this (hang in there Katy -- you have lots of ideas still waiting to be tapped, I'm sure) -- and seeing everyone else's half and half interpretations is so fun.
Nice light highlighting the tire. Have you checked out the images on Instagram, they may give you some ideas or even the images that others have posted here this month? I am sure you will keep coming up with inspiring shots of your own.
