History Found

The weekly theme this week is historical and with that in mind l decided to look a little into my history. I found this obituary of my great great uncle, who was born in 1863, tucked into my grandmother's Bible. She was the niece mentioned at the bottom of the article and was my mother's mother.
Gosh Katy, how interesting and a wonderful composition.

Nice find. I have found it interesting that in the old obituaries I have found , they rarely mention the women's first name, only Mrs. John Smith, etc. Or Mrs. Earl Rogers in your case. Women have come a long way.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond @maggiemae @marilyn @gijsje @olivetreeann @ludwigsdiana @gilbertwood @henrir @homeschoolmom @Dawn @lesip @darylo Sorry for taking so long to acknowledge your positive comments. It was very nice to find this still legible and tucked into a nice safe place in Grandma's Bible. It is a great piece of my family history which even points out the customs of earlier timers as you mentioned Henri. I hadn't noticed that before. Thanks again to all of you for taking the time
