The Falling Leaves by grammyn

The Falling Leaves

Working in the yard on Saturday I thought of the perfect song title for this photo. Missed the last challenge by a day or two but Frogger, who won the last one made the new challenge retroactive so I get to use my idea! Frank Sinatra calls it Falling Leaves. Nat calls it Autumn Leaves. Either one fits but I liked Nat's rendition better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEMCeymW1Ow
Beautiful photo!! Looks like a bit of our wind made it to your area...

I've always wanted to get a shot like this but never seem to be around when the wind and leaves are dancing together. Good one!

@olivetreeann It has been on my bucket list for years too and there is still lots of room for improvement with this one..but it is a start Thank Ann
@cjphoto I am happy you like it,especially the sky and clouds because I had another with no clouds and debated. Thanks for the affirmation Chris

@grammyn - You're welcome! The clouds really adds some liveliness to the shot in my opinion so it was a good decision.

I thought of birds, too. Looks like your wind there could rival our Kansas wind. How great you can use it for the challenge. Good song, good photo.

beautiful sky as well.
December 6th, 2019
You have to be underneath the falling leaves to photograph them! Not always easy! A high wind in a high tree would work!
December 7th, 2019
A wonderful fall image.
December 8th, 2019
@mcsiegle Thanks Mary. I doubt the wind here is anything like it is in Kansas!

Pretty... I like the leaves against the blue sky.
December 10th, 2019
Well captured! They look like birds or little kites. A few days ago there was a shower of golden leaves in my backyard, but by the time I got my camera, the wind had died down and the leaves were on the ground.... Hope things are going well.

@lesip Thanks It has taken me a long time to figure out how to get it to show right in camera and this is not a very good offering but I am OK with it. Happy New Year dear friend!

Thank you so much for the lovely Christmas card! I hope you've enjoyed the time off but more importantly that the final four months go smoothly and have classes in them that you'll really enjoy taking. Happy New Year to you and your family!
January 6th, 2020
@olivetreeann thank you for all your well wishes Ann. I had a long enough vacation that I am dreading going back but only four months to go is a definite "carrot " for me!
January 7th, 2020
Great shot... I like the leaves against the blue.
January 10th, 2020
@eudora I am so sorry I didin't ever respond to you Diane! I just noticed that l missed it somehow. I know I read your great comment and empathized with you about seeing the leaves, getting the camera and then having no more leaves to fall. I felt certain that was going to happen this time for me too but I got lucky.
Thanks for the good wishes. I am about to start my final four months of school and hope I can get through it without too much difficulty. It has been so nice to have some time off and I dread getting back into it.
