He might be thinking he is a bird since he is on the birdfeeder but he may just be looking for a warm place to sun himself. Another one for the nondomestic animal challenge
I have woodpeckers that land on my hummingbird feeder and attempt to get the sugar water out with their tongues. So far only the Red-bellied has been successful. This little fellow may a little more challenged in that department, but maybe not! Good catch.
