After putting up the tree I liked how the lights reflected in the door. While trying to compose the shot I got a sense of the real meaning of Christmas.

The lights look like colorful stars in the sky. It's cool the way the window muntin and mullion are also reflecting the lights giving them a translucent look.

I had to look them up too. I hate to look ignorant in public, although I'm afraid I often do. The word, which I now forget, that I was going to use wasn't correct at all.

This makes a great abstract! You are getting everything ready early. Smart lady. My family (parents, siblings) used to put up the tree around my brother’s birthday (12/14). Frank’s family used his grandma’s birthday on 12/7. When we went out last year about that time there were almost no trees to be bought. I think this year we’ll have to buy it even earlier, and then try to keep it alive until Christmas.
Using an artificial tree makes this easier and I would like to be relaxed instead of harried during the season. I do miss the scent of a real tree but room deodorizers help with that now
