I think someone I follow recently posted a photo of beauty berries which are native to the southern US but I can't remember who it was. I am not sure I have ever actually seen them before but today while I was delivering Meals On Wheels one of the clients had them growing by their house so I availed myself of the opportunity
on research - The berries are also edible to humans, although should be consumed in small amounts. Raw berries are edible, but generally are used to make jellies and wines. I do wonder what flavour they have!
@darchibald@30pics4jackiesdiamond@Dawn@louannwarren@joansmor@olivetreeann@eahopp@mcsiegle@ludwigsdiana@kjarn@wakelys@briaan@randystreat@tunia@rensala@marilyn First of all thanks to everyone who had such nice things to say about this one. They are a pretty berry and an unusual color. I have never tasted them Jackie. I didn't either Lou Ann. I have never tried to pick them Debbie. They do look like eggs, Sue. I did NOT taste them Tunia.. Thanks for that research MM.

@randystreat thank you so much Kathy. I must confess I worried about that just a little as I was lining up the shot! Good to know I am not alone in that!
I don’t think I saw your photo or I would have commented on it at the time. They are unique plants and thanks for sharing your beautiful photo. Have you ever picked them or made jelly out of them?
