Watch Out For That First Step!

A side view of the old factory that used to make cotton gins.

One step away from disaster . . might hurt a little. Great shot, Katy. Love the softness of that brick texture. There's that tree again! :)

Nice composition Katy. The missing panes really tell the story. Do you think that it will ever be redeveloped?

Great shot. We have a lot of these around me, but in much worse condition. I like the side view on this.

@karenann LOL! I hated to put that tree again but it IS interesting and part of the whole picture. I'm so glad you like it.

@ruthmouch Thanks, Ruth. I doubt it will be developed any time soon. Everything happening in town is going away from this area. Someday maybe business offices or condos but definitely in the distant future.

@debbim Thanks,Debbi. I am so glad you like it. It would be nice to be rehabbed but it will be a long time coming I am sure.

I agree that the shot is super and the story it tells is incredible!

Very nice capture... I love old buildings and brick ones are the best! I would love to see it rehabbed and business offices and condos would be perfect. I also noticed the infamous tree! :)

@trumpetman Thanks, Mike. I really appreciate it!

@debsphotos Thanks, Debbie. We have a lot of old building to choose from but this one seems to attract my interest the most.

@marilyn I imagine if it were rehabbed the tree would have to go and that would be a shame!

I like this better than the other shot, as the gantry door is much more apparent. Goes really well in film

@peterdegraaff Thanks,Peter. I fell highly praised by your opinion!

Wow, what a nice shot of this old factory. Nothing like brick and done in 35mm. Nicely done, Katy.

Neat shot--I love the little trees growing on the roof. Nice angle. The broken windows are so sad...
