Bricks and Vines

Interesting abstract art created by the vines on the brick canvas like a Jackson Pollock painting.

Kodak 35mm 400ISO
Beautiful light and shadow work on this, Katy! Great pov . . soft color tones.

@karenann Thanks, KarenAnn. I may go back and catch it when there are some leaves on it.

Very much so, Katy! I light the lighting on this, too.

Very nice... I love the contrast and the patterns... and the composition is fab! Well done!

I like the lighting on this also. It would be interesting to go back and photograph it with leaves or just a different time of day. Fascinating how much the sun or gloomy days can make or not make good/great photos.

How ironic. I just shot a facade of a building today that was old with dried vine on it too. Hoping to have the roll finished tomorrow for developing.

@marilyn Wow! Thank you so much. It is one of those I feel almost qualifies for the craptastic contest and yet.......others seem to like it.

@darsphotos That is a good suggestion about doing it at a different time of day Darlene! Thanks for the comments and input!

very nice shot Katy....cool vines .....can you explain what this challenge is...are you taking 35 mm shots with film..??? I don't get it..?
February 14th, 2012
@maggotx The challenge its to take film shots and post them for the month. I took a roll at the first of the month and am posting one a day until the roll runs out. For me a special challenge because my film camera has virtually no controls . It is basically a P&S. I am glad you like the shot!

@peterdegraaff Thanks, Peter. When I first posted it I didn't have that in there because I couldn't remember his name but I remembered his art. I had to hunt it down and added it later.
