This day started at a fabulous little bread factory no bigger than my kitchen and den across the street from Sousou and Nuha's house,(cousins of Ruth's husband) after which we traveled through the Bekaa valley on our way to the Roman ruins at Baalbek.
The fact that we were not far from the Syrian border was evidenced by the checkpoints we had to travel through and the refugee camps on the sides of the road.
We stopped and watched Syrian women working in the fields, an elderly gentleman pruning his fruit trees, and a shepherd herding a small herd of sheep. Photos taken at all points of course.
Before we got to the ruins we stopped at a refugee camp and were inundated with small children wanting their pictures taken and then to see what they looked like... all except this child. I think it was a girl and she was OK with her baby sister having her picture taken as she pushed her in front of my camera but remained carefully behind her so I couldn't capture her image. Her curiosity got the best of her and I managed to catch one eye peeking out.
You fooled me... I was confused. So glad you continued sharing your wonderful trip to Lebanon. Great capture of this little girl...and the eye of the man in the back :)
Wow! This is such a great capture! That eye!! It is such a brief moment and such a tiny bit of her face, but says so much! Love the cutie little baby too! Fav! PS I was totally closed until I read the comments! :)
@grammyn Bahaha!!! I have no idea!! I really should be a better proofreader!! That was supposed to be confused,!!! Someone in my house was probably saying Close the door while I was typing this...I can't multitask the way I used to ! LOL
