Compost

As I went to my compost pile today to make a deposit I saw this tiny plant growing out of a rotting piece of wood.
Amazing!

@karenann Thank you ma'am. I just saw you post you had traveled by Mt Hood often. Where do you live?

We live in Michigan, Katy. We lived in Lakewood, Washington for a few years and traveled down to Oregon many times for sightseeing. Lived in so many places because my husband was in the military. I loved the Northwest . . it's gorgeous. Would have stayed there, but our family is all in the midwest.

@karenann I was thinking I had heard Michigan at some point so I got confused about Mt. Hood. I have family near Lansing and used to live in Tacoma. Part of my heart is still there!
