Frozen in Time

The planter base that I was watering the birds with froze over last night. Our weather has turned suddenly much colder! I went out this morning to make sure there was water for them and this is what I found.

We are lucky! This winter has been really mild. We've only had a dusting of snow, no freezing rain, and the temps have been above average for this time of the year. I hope I have not spoken too soon :)

Our Winter has been really mild here also. We never do get snow, and have been so lucky to have so many sunny days. Today though it is gray, cool and ready to rain, oops spoke too soon, the sun is showing its face just a little bit.

That is pretty cold for you to have things freeze like this, right?

@deburahiru @darsphotos Our winter so far has been mild. I don't know what is coming in the next few weeks but right now it is cold.

@debsphotos It is not unusual to get ice but generally it is earlier in the season. Usually by now we are getting geared up for spring.

Almost like a frozen collage

I cannot even figure out how it looks "normally".

@peterdegraaff It was really very similar to the art Goldsworthy creates so I had to shoot it!

@maeva Normally it is just leaves but they froze in a circle because they were in a saucer of water on the pool deck when it turned cold.

Brr! This makes me cold. I thought you were in Alabama, no? HOw is it you have ice there? We don't in GA. haha

@espyetta Seriously you didn't have 20F last week? It was FREEZING a couple of days for us!

@grammyn I lose track...we had some mornings of 29 yes....but gets warm so fast .....last weekend was very cold and windy but not below freezing long enough to freeze a bird bath but I could be wrong....

@espyetta There could be just that little variance and sometimes the city areas don't get as cold as more rural areas either.
