Tea Time by grammyn

Tea Time

I am the bridge between my granddaughter and my grandmother whose china we used for our tea today.
This is so wonderful... on so many levels! It made my heart beat a little faster and almost made my eyes leak a little bit! :) ❤

I am so glad you like it and sorry about the leaky eyes!

Oh! She's a cutie! And what a special "Bridge" to be too!

@thesandbox5 Thanks, Brenda. I didn't really think about it until I saw the picture.

February 29th, 2012
Wow, that's really cool and a great shot

Beautiful portrait shot. I love the DOF you used keeping your granddaughter and the tea cup in perfect focus. Nicely done!!

@deburahiru It was a great time.

@karenann Thank you so much, KarenAnn
February 29th, 2012
@maggotx I know I am and thanks very much.
February 29th, 2012
@hankinsphoto I appreciate it, Steve. Thanks!
February 29th, 2012
@debbim Actually the DOF is processing to eliminate some distracting scenery but thanks , Debbi
February 29th, 2012
@grammyn I did think it might be because it's patterned -- but really wasn't sure.
February 29th, 2012
@debbim Good eye!

Interesting backgound. like drinking out of china too
February 29th, 2012
Lovely story behind this shot. The pixilated background is cool.
February 29th, 2012
@peterdegraaff Had you been here I would have gladly shared. ;~} Thanks for the comments,Peter.
February 29th, 2012
@jennwearing Thanks, Jennifer. I felt the background detracted from the shot so I had to do something to make this candid catch a little more appealing.
February 29th, 2012
The processed background doesn't take center stage here and I like that. Your granddaughter drinking from the old china is wonderful. I like your "bridge" comparison, too. Great one, Katy. Well composed. It's a FAV for me more for it's meaning and your creativity in capturing it.
February 29th, 2012
She's adorable!
February 29th, 2012
@debsphotos I am really honored by your FAV Debbie, Even more so because of your obvious talent in getting perfect shots.

@maeva Thanks, Maeva. i appreciate it so much.

February 29th, 2012
@grammyn I don't know .........those on your blog and on here too are quite terrific!
February 29th, 2012
Oh she is adorable! Love what you did with the background.

@sgoodin1 Thanks so much , Sara for the view and the comment!

How DID you pixelate the background and not your g daughter? I like howmthatnworked and may need to add it to my ETSOOI repertoire! Love this pic!
March 4th, 2012
@espyetta Thanks you so very much, MaryBeth! In picnik (sigh) I used pixelate and set it to large size and then "erased" the pixels that were my granddaughter.
March 4th, 2012
@grammyn I thought you used Piknik alot.... I forgot about "erase" ability! Thanks! Maybe when Piknik moves to Google plus, it will retain all the functions/edits is has now. I know people say that if they go to google plus now, whatever photo editing is there doesn't have all the edits, but how do we know that when piknik moves, it won't retain them all? I am hoping I guess. Because I can buy photoshop but it is not as fun and easy.
March 4th, 2012
@espyetta I can almost promise you I wont be getting photoshop. I am not smart enough. Most of my work is sooc so I won't miss it too much anyway.
