Not Arak by grammyn

Not Arak

While in Beirut I discovered a new drink. I haven't asked for it here yet but I feel rather certain it won't be served in ANY restaurants in my small southern town. For now the margarita will have to do!
Looks frosty and fruity

@jankoos Arak is a clear spirit made from most often from grapes and distilled three times. The second time anise seed is added to give it a distinctive licorice taste. It turns milky white when water and ice are added! If you don't like licorice you won't like it! i like licorice.

@espyetta I know how you are about the margaritas. Arak is similar to ouzo I have discovered.

@grammyn ouzo is licorice or anise? I think. Will stick to green drinks!

It looks very refreshing, but I'm not entirely sure about the licorice flavor. I'd try it once. ;-)
