High Hopes

I went to fill the bird feeders this morning and saw a very tiny ant carrying a piece of seed above his head in the feeder. Of course once I had the camera in hand I could no longer find him. I was quite disappointed until I saw this one struggling with this huge piece and got several shots before I put the camera down and helped him get it over the hump.

Ants are so strong. Good spotting to find another one to photograph....maybe it was the same one!

Very cool! I had a different experience with ants today--found them coming out of the light fixture in my closet! It's all the rain we've had...
