This was taken after dark on the same day that the earlier pic was taken. The moon was peeping out from clouds for a few minutes and I got this shot. The ones with the clouds nearby did not turn out as well.

such a great shot ~ love shots of the moon/heavens ~ 'almost' makes me wish I had a camera that could handle such distances - but for now I will just enjoy yours and others' =)
I had an SLR back in the 80's when you had rolls of film to deal with - remember that fun? I may consider getting another soon ~ photography IS habit forming ;-)
As I was driving home last night the moon was shining clearly ahead. So inspired by your photo, as soon as I got home out with the camera but by that time the clouds had rolled in! I will try again sometime.
