I liked how this butterfly sort of matched the stone it landed on. I "googled" brown butterfly to find what kind it is.
Brown butterfly - Asterocampa celtis
Superfamily: Papilionoidea (Butterflies (excluding skippers)
Family: Nymphalidae (Brushfooted Butterflies)
Subfamily: Apaturinae (Emperors)
Tribe: Apaturini
Genus: Asterocampa
Species: celtis (Hackberry Emperor)
Subspecies: antonia (Texas Hackberry)

@maggiemae@yonnie I found these at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens last Saturday. Most in the Four Seasons Garden area. They are really plentiful here now, maybe due to the mild winter that we had.
