Airport by halkia

Airport

10.26 am: This morning we took the girls to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, one of Europe's largest airports, for an outing. It has a panorama terrace that offers a fabulous view of the planes and aprons. There's an old KLM Fokker 100 (pictured) on the terrace that serves as a mini museum.

In the background there's the old traffic control tower where I used to work before I got my current job. I wasn't an air traffic controller though - the tower isn't in use anymore and houses offices for airport related companies now.

My extra album features my photo for the HappyAugust challenge: http://365project.org/halkia/themes-extra/2011-08-27.
Gaaf, die KLM-blauwe lucht!

Interesting stuff (and amazing blues) - I'll have to tell Nigel in case he ever gets stuck there and needs entertainment!

What a fun thing to do. Love the processing and neat that they still use the old tower for offices.
