We have a neighborhood ladies hiking group that starts the end of summer through October on either a Thursday or Friday each week. One of our excursions was a 6 mile round trip through a beautiful canyon to Saint Mary's Falls. The falls cascade down. Best on black, It is in Cheyenne Canyon west of Colorado Springs. So pretty! Your group sounds like fun. Do you use hiking poles? My sister recommended them to me, and I tried them. I realized that Charlie is my hiking pole, but if he weren't there, I would benefit, I think.
@cejaanderson Hi Jane. I usually don't use hiking poles, but we have been doing some steep hikes lately. I have a bad knee which has been bothering me a little more lately. I have been using one pole on the steep downhill hikes and that has helped. They take a little getting used to but think they would help. You can try one or two and see which you like better. Let me know what you think!!
