German Renaissance - Greek Othodox

This is another beautiful church in Aachen, which is currently a greek orthodox church. The building is from the 1500's and the facade is a beautiful neo-Renaissance style which was added in the 1890's. I also love this angle, which I had to climb into some bushes for. It enabled me to catch the round dome of the Aachen cathedral in the background as well.
Very cool

What a beautiful facade! I love that you captured those two people too. It gives a great sense of scale.

Wow, this is so neat and sooo old! We've got nothing like that here...all our "old" stuff is brand new compared to that!

The things we do to get "the right angle," glad I'm not the only one. The architecture on this is amazing--it looks so odd but enduring next to all the newer buildings

What a magnificent building!!! The angle is amazing - well worth it climbing in the bushes! ;-))
