Second of two days in Luxembourg a while back. I really like this one, I was waiting for my wife to come out of a church we popped into and I look up to see this cool building with the recessed statue right above me. I tried to frame it to emphasize the statue but also the white borders on the windows.
B&W with red filter, increased contrast and a little vignetting added in photoshop.
I love the effect the red filter created. I really need to pick up some more filters (add those to the mile long wish list I already have going!). You framed this beautifully, and I just love the whole thing!
This is lovely, Steve. Do you shoot through a red filter in advance, or is it a technique in Photoshop? It's a crisp B&W & my few attempts have looked flat so I hesitiate to do that. I have to add here, too, that you seem more attuned to my separation anxiety, in that I see through your pictures, you're absorbing the beautiful detail of your surroundings, too. It's tough to give up... I hope yours is no time soon! (As I'm short on time, I'll add that I love the blue door and the rough paint...gorgeous image! It's so funny to be encountered about the photos we not take, but, like you, I've learned to be fearless!)
