My wife and I finished up a puzzel we have been working on the last week or so yesterday (background). We also recieved some books which were christmas gifts from my family. One was Lonely Planet Romania! I really love challenging, out-of-the-way travel destinations and Romania is high on our list for this coming Easter time. Now I just have the fun of reading through the book and roughly planning out our itinerary, something I always enjoy doing. If anyone has ever been there I would love to hear your opinion.
I don't know if you like vampires lol....but Elizabeth Kostova's The Historian is an easy, interesting read, particularly if you are heading to Romania;)
How funny - I was also going to recommend The Historian! Amber_wings beat me to it. :) It's a great book and I don't think you have to like vampires to enjoy it.
It's so funny how puzzles seem to be making a sudden appearance here. It is a good way to pass time, especially when the weather isn't so pleasant. How fun that you get to start looking through and planning your trip! I LOVE getting to flip through travel guides and plan itineraries.
@amber_wings@kerri26 Thank you both for the book recommendation. I love reading and will definitely check that out. I am more excited about the unique architecture of Romania, fortified churches, Saxon towns, etc, but Dracula will certainly be a part of our travel there.
Haha, cool,I hope you`ll enjoy it! ...but be careful and allways put your money in a safe place, and "nice" people can actually trick you... Ah,you`ll probably see more cool places then me,in 22 years, because I don`t travel a lot :)
Have fun!...and don`t trust anyone! ... (I`m not trying to scare you off,just a friendly heads-up)
