I awoke to hear the train click click clicking along as it went over every junction in the tracks (not something one gets in Germany!) It is actually a surprisingly peaceful sound.
In my mind there is not much better than the excitement of what you might see out the window in the morning after a night train ride and you are in a totally new landscape. I peer out the shade and I am Immediately confronted with a scene such as this: mountains in the distance, and a church with that distinctive Transylvanian spire shape. I got out my camera as I got ready to get off the train and I snapped this shot from the train window as we passed another town by on our way into Brasov, Romania.
