Viscri, Romania and the awesome fortified church there. Yes thats a church not a castle. It was built that way to defend against tartar and later turkish invaders in the 1200's. This village was in the middle of nowhere and really tiny, but we had one of the best days of the trip wandering around and later watching the cows come in from the fields at night and literally walk home. It was quite a cool sight. Plus we stayed in a tiny two room pension where our room was basically a museum of Saxon stuff from the 1800's, and had a wonderful home cooked meal.
What a panorama! Love the tiny slivers of white of the grave markers, the beautiful horizon with the low mountains beyond and the figures in the foreground. (Is that you?)
Awesome landscape shot. Such clear images, you can even see the gave markers. Great memory photo of you and Anne. I am now officially jealous of this vacation. These shots are just marvelous.
