When we dropped Ben off at school this morning there were at least three trees that had blown over in the night, this one was right across the path to school.
When we came back to pick him up they were busy chopping up this one and we had to take a muddy detour across the squelchy grass. Shame - I like these trees in the park area.
When we got home I headed off down the garden, but there were no sign of any trees here. It was actually quite warm and sunny so I seized the opportunity to have a look at the bees and got a sting for my troubles (through a thick leather glove - persistent little soul. Anyway all looked very healthy with plenty of new brood and no immediate signs of swarming, but stores are getting low, due to the poor weather and lack of forage opportunity. If it doesn't improve I may have to feed them so they don't starve.
