This Chow Mein Man - The Smiths

80's Classics #5: This Charming Man by The Smiths.

"When in this charming car, This charming man". A man drives to a Chinese take away to buy his favourite noodle based dish and then sits and eats it in the car. I am pretty sure that this is what Morrissey was writing about when he penned this classic, but I could be wrong.

Jan made me go to the Chinese take away so that music week could continue, uninterrupted, with this fine tune. I was tempted by Poppadom Preach (Madonna) or Korma Chameleon (Culture Club), but who can resist a bit of classic Smiths, even if the pun isn't so good.
They say reader makes meaning but... this is a very tenuous link to get a chow mein!
