Today is the 50th anniversary of the release of the first Beatles single, Love me do. To acknowledge this here is a selection of Beatles memorabilia that I have gathered together, mostly belonging to my mother. Featured are a ticket an programme from their Birmingham Hippodrome show from their 1963 tour, the Beatles Monthly book volume's 1, 2 and 3, Meet the Beatles magazine, and several black and white photos.
Today was also the 50th Anniversary of the first James Bond film. A lot must have been going on in October 1962.
@mariadarby Crazy isn't it. The only thing worth anything here is the ticket stub (possibly in combination with the programme), and that may be worth £50+ but not huge amounts. They are worth more in interest value than financial value. I have been meaning to put them in a nice frame but just never got around to it. Beatles Book #1 is worth more than the others (simply because it is the first), but only just.
