Flaps

For the current macro-music challenge
Nicely done. I like to think I can spot most things musical but, aside from knowing this involved wind and keys, I was struggling. My mind wandered over any of the different types of pipes, strange medieval things like shawms and crumhorns through to 18th century clarinets. I never got anywhere near so had to peek at your tag. Nice one!

Absolutely wonderful....

Well done! The black and white was the perfect treatment for this instrument. The focus on the flaps was a good choice because it hints of an instrument but keeps us wondering as to which one it is. Great shot.

@peadar Thank you for the comment. Actually, it is not a flute, but a bass-recorder - I have given a wrong name (my son plays it).

@haskar Well, I hope he sticks with it. I started playing recorder when I was around 9 years old, and had moved up to tenor and bass recorder by the end of primary school. You do realise the logical progression from bass recorder is to the bassoon, I hope :-)
