I have been interested in photography all my life and remember quite well developing my first black and white films myself... My favorite subjects are...
A duel? When I think of a duel I picture two men standing back to back who then walk twenty paces away from one another then they turn and shoot at each other.
The duel was based on a code of honor. Duels were fought not so much to kill the opponent as to gain "satisfaction", that is, to restore one's honor by demonstrating a willingness to risk one's life for it, and as such the tradition of dueling was originally reserved for the male members of nobility; however, in the modern era it extended to those of the upper classes generally. On occasion, duels with pistols or swords were fought between women. I guess the were duels performed with swords as well.
