Time out in the Judean desert by helenhall

Time out in the Judean desert

Before coming home, we had a morning out in the Judean desert where this monastery of St Sabbas clings to the side of the valley.

Just two hours to walk in silence and reflect on the past two weeks before returning to our daily lives and routines.

I will return to fill in the gaps in the story of our fortnight - there is just an awful lot to prune and process as well as more catching up to do. Im less than half way through catching up with the friends I am following, but intend to view some of everyones before too many more days pass by.

Back to work tomorrow.
It looks very old, but I guess there are lots of ancient buildings there. I like your view point.

Amazing shot. So much history in this part of the world and such a shame that they can't all live together. fav

Wow, such a fabulous shot and interesting place to visit. This is how I imagine that part of the world to be - such history.
