This was our destination for the weekend away. A treasure of a place which had me leaping out of bed in the mornings to wander down to the beach and see the sun rise.
I was remiss in the packing and despite considerable efforts to gather all the right cables and electronics, I found myself without the necessary cable to enable a battery recharge on my camera. I tried very hard not to let this spoil the weekend which was about spending time with the three men in my life and not about photography.
Over the next few days, I'll be sharing some of the delights of the quiet village of Walberswick distinguished by its black beach huts, and the quaint seaside town of Southwold known for its colourful beach huts.
Just a couple of minutes walk from the pub where we stayed, this was my first view of the beach on Saturday morning.
It is going to take me a while to catch up with your photos, but I will over the next few days or so.
I love this image. There is such a sense of peace and renewal in it. I hope that your time with your men was wonderful. I always look forward to my time with mine.
A wonderful image Helen, It sounds like you had a lovely time, perhaps the missing lead was a blessing, not that it would have seemed like it at the time.
