Graveyard shapes

For todays image, again I am picking from Monday's crop. This was a half hearted attempt to shoot without looking. I was thinking about the concept as walking along, and just took out my camera and took the shot blindly. I kind of knew what I was taking though - so it probably doesn't count. If I had been looking, I wouldn't have cut off the bottom of the bicycle wheel. The processing is in an attempt to detract from the cut off wheel - for some reason, it seems more important in the original.

The processing has made this really interesting with all the different textures Helen. It looks like a pencil sketch. I like it.

I like this: the big circle of the wheel in contrast to all the verticals.

I like it a lot, agree w/ HelenM

This sort of scene goes well with this sort of processing! Who's bike is that?

I think it works as a swol. Sometimes you aim the camera and it comes out fairly ok! Nice processing too- the sketchy feels adds a nice texture.

I like it. Well done.

The cut off wheel doesn't bother me here probably because of your nice processing. And I really like this comp with the vertical and round lines. So well done with just a 'little peep', haha ;-)

@flowerfairyann thanks Ann. Sometimes these special effects come in handy.
@helenm2016 thanks Helen - yes a happy arrangement
@lsquared thanks - I guess that is what made me pause and then think I was cheating!
@pistache I havea basket like that too - except that mine is squashed!
@maggiemae no idea whos bike it is, but it seems easier to shoot a strange bike than a strange person.
@olivetreeann thanks Ann. I think I was fortunate to have come so close to what I would have taken anyway.
@pdulis thank you Peter.
@moonmtn thanks Kahsia - seemed the best choice to me.
@kwind thanks Kim - it is always fun to play with the options, but difficult to decide which to stick with.
@onewing thanks Babs, the editing adds interest by making the lines and shapes strong.
@haskar many thanks indeed
@stimuloog thank you kindly. It was more bothersome on the original.
@suzanne234 thanks Suzanne
@gerry and last, but not least, thank you Gerry.

A very cool and interesting image! I'm always inspired by the images you create with your special processing techniques, Helen. Now I just need to take the next step and actually try them myself. I'm not quite sure why I haven't taken that next step yet. Definitely something to think about. :-)

Your comp here has so interesting juxtaposition of shapes....and the processing has it looking more like a drawing. Well seen...or not seen as it were...lol

I like the way the bicycle tire has been bisected by the stone. I also like how clear the "modern" bicycle is opposed to the "old" weathered stones.
