Sparkle Cascade by helenhall

Sparkle Cascade

It rained. I had a breakfast meeting to run. There were consequences resulting in additional meetings. More rain. The car windscreen wipers failed to work. Had to see a man about a path. More rain. Family matters. Photography? what is that?

Here is one from yesterday. I had to create my own sparkle for today.

Settings -
I tried this one at a full range of shutter speeds. Settled for the 1/50 as this gave the best combination of movement in the falling water and detail in the swirling water (there must be a better term).
Tweaked today,in photoshop for contrast, and then with a touch of the Zeke filter in Microsoft photo editing, to enhance the sparkle.

Closely followed by an excellent seared tuna steak from our local fishmonger, enhanced with a few Palestinian spices, a salsa and some roasted peppers with feta. A couple of glasses of blanc, and I am happy again.

Except that it is now nearing bed time and I haven't caught up on your lovely images yet - arghhh - who exactly invented the 24 hr day?

Instant fav! Super nice shot with such a great abstract effect!

@stimuloog @pistache @kwind @haskar @moonmtn @taffy @domenicododaro @365projectorgjenfurj @helenm2016 @rosiekind @carolmw thank you each - for your observations. There is not much to this shot, but the water always has an appeal.

It's so creative, I like especially the combination of 'soft' swirls and 'hard' water coming from above.

Wonderful abstract, you can tag it for the abstract challenge, abstract-4. I know what you mean with time :-), I'd like some more hours in the day, though I somehow think, I'd still run out.

Like this contrasting image and the diagonal division.
