It wasn't like that in my day

I went to a work meeting today in a school in south London and was bowled over by the beauty of the building.
Couldn't decide though whether to post in b&w (which showed up the shadows nicely) or in colour(which highlighted the blue panels between the windows).
I know the shot looks like something out of a promotional brochure but in the end I thought the blue worth sharing.
fav! love the composition in this photo

It is a great big curve Helen. You did say you'd like some thoughts to improve. The one here is to watch the framing, especially on the left with those three or four green strands poking in. Clone them out would probably be easiest, since the frame is nicely proportioned. And on the right, a small point for sure, either show the whole post to balance all the others, or chop it off completely.

Cheers!

@frankhymus I'm very pleased to get the critique, Frank. Thanks for taking the time and trouble. I don't yet have any post processing software (other than the free stuff that came with my computer) so maybe I should move that up my shopping list. Have been weighing up Lightroom and Photoshop but still need to find out more about what each offers.

@helenm2016 The Nikon basic editing package should be enough for some things, so you might try that before you make a big step up to Lightroom.

Ah! Thanks. Hadn't heard about that. Will investigate
