I've been reading Another Way of Telling and in it Jean Mohr says "To make successful portraits, it probably helps to have taken some self-portraits ... otherwise it is impossible to understand the embarrassment, the worry, even the panic, which often assails people when they know they are being photographed?"
Hence I thought I'd better make a start. But quite why I chose this set up, I do not know.
Constructive criticism very much appreciated - keen to learn more and improve. I bought a decent camera in February 2016 and joyed this wonderful space...
Well it certainly looks as though there is a story to be told. Very amusing, but I also like the photo. I see a lot of self-portraits on here, and I can only assume that most are set up with tripod and a timer? Anyway, lovely to see you at work.
@ilovelenses You're very kind. Thank you @jyokota Many thanks for your appreciation. @hermann You're most generous. Thanks. @helenhall I got myself a remote cable shutter release which is fab. Saves waiting for the timer to go off - but it does require long arms.
