I stopped to take some shots while shopping in Covent Garden when this gentleman suddenly (and I mean suddenly) jumped out of the crowd, sat down on the road in front of me and said in heavily accented English: "I want you to take photo of me. Just like this". He didn't ask to see the result - he just smiled and went on his way.
The encounter made me smile too and I liked the shot more than the others I'd taken, so here he is.
Constructive criticism very much appreciated - keen to learn more and improve. I bought a decent camera in February 2016 and joyed this wonderful space...
now why does this never happen to me?! i feel i have to skulk about and try to dare to take someone's photo with a long lens! this is a sweet portrait ...
@chris17 Cheers, Christine. @pistache I've only twice had an adverse reaction from anyone and both times simply deleted the shot at their request. Keep trying. It's fun. @jyokota You're absolutely right. He know he could do a good pose. @ilovelenses Yes, I think we both enjoyed it. @rjb71 He kind of posed for himself really. A win-win situation! @onewing Yes, he didn't even ask to see it. @thewatersphotos It's nice when you don't have to faff about to catch the moment @hermann Indeed it was. Thanks, Sally. @mandygravil I wondered if he was a tourist, having fun. @kwind He was indeed. Thank you for commenting.
