Into the Sun

I wanted to photograph the sailing ships in the harbour but I also liked the face of the Solace Statue looking into the sun so thought I would capture both.

I would'nt even have known that was a statue until you mentioned it. I took a quick look at it then focused on the background. I thought it was a muscular bald fellow taking in the rays on the beach. This is very well composed, and a beautiful view that statue has.

This is such a fascinating photograph. The statue is looking into the sun and the boats and sky create a different picture. It's like a picture within a picture. FAV!
