It looks to me as if it's wing is injured and maybe that is why it is hanging out with the Canada Geese. Pretty smart idea for a lone goose, not where it ought to be.

These Snow Geese come up in the spring, have babies up North, but I saw them up near St. Pacombe along the St. Lawrence River, then come back down in the fall and then over winter here and there South and obviously near you Jane. Amazing that both the Snow Goose and the Canada Goose were so very endangered not so very long ago. A super success story.
