I do not like sewing. It frustrates me and makes me tense. Unfortunately, it seems I cannot find a single pair of pants for work that don't drag the floor. I know dress slacks are made longer for women who want to wear heels, but these are knit pants made for being active... grrrr
Friends, I am looking forward to catching up with your projects. Thank you for your patience.
@ekeim@bruni@coolgirlsar I'm glad I'm not the only one to struggle with a needle & thread. I've tried the iron-on tape with an older pair of these pants. It came undone after several washings. So sad. I always like the easier route best.
Love the black on black! I feel your pain. I don't wear heels and am average to short height. So it can be hard to find pants the right length. I am about 5'4" so I can wear the "short" pants at Kohl's pretty well...like Dockers, etc.but not dress pants so much....
@espyetta Thank you. I'm 5'6" and I've started to need to find petites (or short at Kohls). I've never had to do that before. Is society getting taller?
@quietpurplehaze Thank you, Hazel. I guess we can use the frustrations in life :)
@bizziebeeme Thank you. I sincerely doubt you're the only one, but I've not seen many sewing machine photos on 365 (Jan. 18th). I guess I'll have to look :)
This photo is beautifully lit and beautifully exposed. I love the composition and the background information about your sewing frustration. All round excellent.
You captured the textures so well. Great shot! I share your frustration with sewing although I did enjoy it for a time when the kids were little. I still have my sewing machine - unused for 30 some years with regards to sewing, but I do use it as a desk of sorts :-) Oh, yes....when you hem, use Mystik cloth tape instead. A lot faster.
