Built in 1892, it is the longest covered bridge still in existence in Virginia. It was damaged by arsonists in 1976, but was restored and reopened in1979.
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...
I really like this. I especially like how you show the road and trees leading up to it. It is beautiful. I also like that you give us a bit of history on this bridge.

What a fun shot! I have many shots taken of that very bridge including one with my little brother in silhouette wandering around like a zombie. What can I say? We're a weird family. It's interesting to me to see it with all of the greenery and lush flora as I've only ever seen it in November.
