We buried Mom today. The photo was taken at the Moriarty Funeral Home. But as one of siblings put on our family we site - "I do believe, my Dear Ones, there is a time for every purpose under heaven. The last several days were my time for weeping. I weep: missing the hand to touch: the smile to share: the words between us. That time is gone. That time is passed to memory held closely to my heart. But as surely as the time to weep was upon me, so will be the time to dance. And I shall dance! I shall dance in the joy of a child as she twirls in her party dress or as he dashes through space with the physical mantra of run. ... So finally, I am wishing you a Happy Christmas filled with wonder and light. Love to all. "
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...
Oh, Harry! I haven't been around much lately and had no idea! I am so sorry, Harry! It just crushed my heart to read this! My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family!
Harry, I'm just getting caught up a bit myself and didn't know. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Your Mom sounds like she was a wonderful lady, and she certainly raised a wonderful son. Prayers and huge hugs from my family to yours - I hope you can find some comfort surrounded by your loving family this Christmas.
I'm so sorry for your loss. It it heartbreaking to lose a mother. It looks like she raised ten fine children. I'm sure she was pleased with each of you. Thanks for sharing and may this Christmas and the coming year be filled with joy.
I hope you and your family are able to have a nice Christmas filled with lots of wonderful memories of your mom. It's nice that you seem to have a big family to help one another through this time.
