I had scooped out the 200 year old tree in Sawmill Park on the 4th and saw I could get a moon rising behind it for the night of the SuperMoon. But all we had was cloud cover :( So here is the photo of the tree with the SuperMoon behind it with only the total cloud cover between them. Best Viewed Large.
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...
I kept going out last night but we had cloud cover last night too. My husband got home at midnight I guess we had a window of clear skys he got to see the moon. He took a pic w/his phone. I was sleeping and didn't get to see it. I will see if I can get the pic from hubbys phone. Beautiful tree!

There's something about your photo that looks very familiar, Harry... oh yeah... looks like the same view that I had of the supermoon too. Cloud Cover! But your tree is beautiful. :)
