Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...
There would be solar panels on the sloping roof, more insulation than required, ,water collected from the roof and double glazing, I expect! Great to see this house - no garden as yet!

@bruni the angle of the roof has to be the most efficient angle for following the sun at the latitude of the area! Um... I have learnt this from 30 years in the energy efficiency business!
