One of our highlights was actually interacting with the native animals of Australia. Here is Gail with Cactus, a Koala at Cleland Wildlife Park just outside of Adelaide

Fun shot! My daughter spent 6 weeks near Adelaide during the summer of 1991 and she visited Cleland Wildlife Park while she was there and had her picture taken while holding a Koala... I am looking at that photo right now! Such a small world! As a matter-of-fact, to prove the small world theory, a few days after she arrived in Australia she went to a 4th of July party and while visiting with a couple there found out that not only did they know where she was from (a TINY town south of Spokane, WA) they had family and friends here!
@marilyn Thank you Marilyn, it is surprising how small the world is; a couple at the dining table on the cruise had several friends in common with Gail & I even though we had never meet them before. @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian, Gail has had a Koala collection here for over 40 years, so to pet a live one was a big thrill for her. @kerristephens Thank you Kerri, it is a great continent @cscecil Thank you Carolyn, interacting with their animals is really neat
@camisze Thank you Cathy, we have it hanging in our house now :) @nicolaeastwood Thank you Nicola, it was a wonderful vacation @sangwann Thank you Dione, they are so cuddly :)
