Poor Man's Fertilizer by hjbenson

Poor Man's Fertilizer

Started snowing this morning with big heavy wet flakes. This type of snow, early spring with the ground above freezing, is called a "Poor Man's Fertilizer" since the flakes will bring down nutrients from the atmosphere and actually help replenish the soil.

I never knew that before! It's a good thing we're getting this light dusting of snow then, as it's far too cold to carry out any of the usual Easter holiday chores in the garden!
