Alexander @quixoticneophyte gave me the following challenge: "I'd love it if you would capture some architectural detail in symmetry." Well this was my first attempt - the church is symmetric, but the photographer is not :) I will try again later this week on a different building using a tripod :)
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...
Beautiful detail - they had such vision in those days.
I see our shots were similar! I tried to get the bottom line to be level on the viewfinder, and then cropped the shot 'back home' to even up the edges :)
@hjbenson That's a cracking first effort, Harry! Love the POV and the impressive stature of the church. I was photographing the interior of a cathedral the other day and it's a nightmare to get perfect! I was literally moving the tripod about half an inch this way and that to fine tune it perfectly, whilst using liveview to see my outcome and alignment...
