Symmetric Church by hjbenson

Symmetric Church

Alexander @quixoticneophyte gave me the following challenge: "I'd love it if you would capture some architectural detail in symmetry." Well this was my first attempt - the church is symmetric, but the photographer is not :) I will try again later this week on a different building using a tripod :)

Beautiful church

I actually like the slightly off-kilter nature of this, even if it doesn't quite fit the challenge.

A great perspective and looks like it has a beautiful stained glass window!

Awesome pov

Nice perspective. You can tell the church is symmetric but I think this angle is more interesting.

I like your POV and the symmetry in the architecture.

Beautiful detail - they had such vision in those days.
I see our shots were similar! I tried to get the bottom line to be level on the viewfinder, and then cropped the shot 'back home' to even up the edges :)

Great pov. Love the architecture.

@hjbenson That's a cracking first effort, Harry! Love the POV and the impressive stature of the church. I was photographing the interior of a cathedral the other day and it's a nightmare to get perfect! I was literally moving the tripod about half an inch this way and that to fine tune it perfectly, whilst using liveview to see my outcome and alignment...
