We have a tradition in my family of trying to get together on the weekend after Christmas to give out presents to those who were not seen on Christmas. The presents are handed out by the Christmas Elf (we let my youngest brother 6'4" dress up as the elf). The elf has helpers - children between 4 and 7 years old; this way they can hand presents to their cousins, Aunts, and Uncles and associate a face with a name.
Retired educator - taught mathematics in high school, went back to graduate school, worked in research labs, and finally went back and taught computer science...
