This ain't no smartphone camera app. This is the real deal, done with a real camera, with real film. No saturation/levels in Photoshop! Nothing beats the real thing! :) (No hate, if I had a smartphone, I'd probably amuse myself with fake Holga photos, too, LOL)
Red Rocks Visitor Center in Nevada, October 16, 2010. Just got the scans back today. With all my Kodachrome! Happy day :) No sense in taking a crappy digital pic, when there's gorgeous Velvia scans to post!
Taken with a Holga 120FN, Fujichrome Velvia 100 film, processed and scanned by Dwayne's Photo
@moncooga The mere fact the clouds have detail and aren't totally blown out totally gives it away :) Gotta love film for that... you can really mess up an exposure, and it still turns out. I didn't even try this shot with digital, but I really should have for comparison. I just took identical ones on Velvia and Kodachrome
@crappysailor That is the film I got off of ebay! So far I have only loaded it into my TLR. The backing paper for 120 SUCKS! Very hard to see the numbers to know what frame you're on. I need to get out and shoot with it... maybe tomorrow.
love it! :)
@annwebbie @positronicmommy Thank you for your comments!
I was thinking of picking up some shanghai gp3, have you tried it yet? I wonder if its similar to the other film you got off ebay.
